During this period I visited various Government Ministries and Departments to collect economic, financial and other relevant data.

I also interviewed various senior Govt. officials in this regard.

1997

MSC in Management of Technology – Arabian Gulf University.

During this period I focused on the Subject of World Trade Organization (Previously the GATT) Creation, historical development, its impact on various fields related to GCC Countries.

Fields covered are Petrochemicals, Industry, Trade, Agriculture, Medical, Science and Intellectual and Property rights.

I achieved Excellence Grade on my Graduation and I was among the honored list by His Highness the late Amir.

2000 City & Guilds Certificate in Training and Development (NVQ) vocational Assessor (D32/33)

Others

One year Program in 1981 Bristol University and other institutes in UK to study Management, Computer Courses, Information Technology and Various Supervisory Programs in Bahrain & Greece. This included some work and practical assignments on these fields.

Spent one year Extensive Supervisory, Management and Executive Program in Bristol University focusing human Behavior, psychology, cost accounting, Training, Economic, Employee Relation, This Included some Practical Projects.

Work Experience

Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco)
Position: Trainee:

Summer 1977 – Awali Services Dept: Before Graduation I joined Bapco in Awali Services Dept. Where I worked in the General Administration Section and contributed to the overall activities of the section.

Summer 1988 – Awali Services helped to employ approximately 600 personnel ranging from technical, Commercial Civil Housing and catering. The Administration Section administered all the employees as well as residents affairs in Awali Town.
Awali Services also catered for all the facilities such as electrical, telephones, housing and recreational facilities.

Position: Senior Analyst – Personnel Dept. (1980-1985)

Duties, Functions & Responsibilities:

  1. Job Evaluations

    Collating Information about Job Evaluation, Analyzing Information about position description. Updating and Development Job Descriptions, Updating Organization Structures. Making Recommendation for Higher Management Final Approvals for organization changes.

    Visiting and Meeting Various Superintendents, Mangers and General Managers and Concerned Position Incumbents to ensure that actual duties are consistent with approved position description.

    Leis with Compensation Senior Analyst to Ensure Position Job Evaluation and Salary Scales are Consistent and Comparable with changes approved.
     
  2. Market Price Survey Research

    Four Times a year carry out National Market Price Survey through visiting various Shop & Department Stores with the Objectives of Measuring Movement of Food & Consumable Goods Prices etc.

    Analyze Price Survey and Develop Price Index & Present Analysis and recommendation to Management.

    Make Recommendation to Management for further action to be taken with regards to salary and cost of living increases.

    Continuously Review Abnormal Price changes in the Market.
     
  3. Training

    Develop Training Presentations on BAPCO’s Policies Systems and Procedures.

    Present the above to BAPCO Employees of all Sections and Divisions as part of the Company Programs of Orientation and Awareness to Employees.

    As part of my Supervisory and Management Development Program I worked in Caltex UK as Organizational and Training analyst on various development of systems and procedures of the overall Caltex System.

Bahrain University (1998)
Position: Lecturer in Business Studies & Marketing

Accountable to: The Section Head – Management and Business Studies.
In Brief Duties, Responsibilities & Functions of my job as a lecturer in the
Bahrain University is as follows.

  1. Plan for the course subjects and materials.
  2. Setup program training and schedule for the entire course period.
  3. Select relevant literature books and reference materials for students.
  4. Analyze subjects and case studies.
  5. Prepare presentations to group participants. (All presentations are being developed using personal computer techniques).
  6. Carry our class presentation and moderate interactive discussions among participants.
  7. Prepare Examinations and test questions.
  8. Coach course participants as necessary on correct approach of study and preparing for examinations.
  9. Analyze participants and student skills and knowledge.
  10. Supervise examinations and tests.
  11. Develop and coach participants on selected projects related to their area of activities such as Communication, Human Resources, Marketing and General Business and project feasibility studies.
  12. Submit final reports, results and recommendations to University Higher academic staff.

Delmon Academy Bahrain Lecturer (1998-1999)
Position: Lecturer in Management Studies.

My main responsibilities & functions of my job as a lecturer in the Academy was planning
& designing the materials and conducting presentation and training programs in the above subjects, plus developing examination and tests.

Bahrain Training Institute (Sep 99 – April 2003)
Position: Asst. Head of Business & Supervisory Studies Dept.

Business lecturer and Deputy to Head of Business Management & Supervisory Studies Dept.

During this period I’ve lectured in general subjects & modules in Business including Sales & Marketing, Customer Care, and People in Business Structure, Goals, Planning, Promotional Campaign, Marketing Strategic Planning and Telephone Skills.

Furthermore in 2000, I have been promoted to the position of the Deputy of HOD for Business Corporate Coordinator for the Department.

During this period I have conducted many courses & Diploma Programs different industrial & services organizations e.g. Al-Manaratain, Aluweel, BPC, Ashraf and Y.K Al-Moayyed Group and ASRY.

Furthermore I was involved in marketing activities within BTI, In addition I attended regular meeting with management designing, developing and planning future strategy and action plan of BTI.

Position: Senior Manager of the Business Corporate Division

In 2001 I have been promoted to Corporate Business Training Manager. Main responsibilities of this position are designing programs, submitting, presenting and negotiating proposals to companies. Conducting training programs in Business studies,
and studying Training needs analysis of some companies. Understanding the requirements and design tailor made programs accordingly, to fulfill their needs and part of my responsibilities is marketing the training programs.

During that time I have participated in national and international conferences in management and training.

Ahi United Bank (AUB) (May 2003 – till now)
Position: Training & Development Group Manager

As a Training & Development Manager, I am responsible of all training and development aspects of AUB group including Bahrain, UK, Kuwait and Qatar, this covers around 500+ staff. The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Training Need Analysis and understanding the training requirements through survey and interviews and appraisal assessment.
  • Providing advice, counseling in training to business solutions
  • Designing the AUB’s training strategic planning
  • Organizing all training workshop and outsourcing the programs
  • Dealing with training providers locally and internationally
  • Conducting training program in management, leadership, induction and customer care.
  • Conducting In-House Training Program in Sales and Customer Care & Know your Organization.
  • Develop E-Learning solution for AUB.
  • During this time I attended 3 main forums in training and development and Leadership and Barbarization.
